Hap Shawls and Lace Knitting 9/6/12
|
.Hap is a Shetland word meaning a warm covering, or to wrap up warmly. Whilst the North West of England may not be as cold and windy as the Northern Isles, traditional Shetland Hap Shawls and Blankets are a charming and cosy addition to your home and wardrobe. They are often overlooked in favour of the Shetland Lace Shawls, but they are just a rewarding to knit, encompassing all the techniques of lace knitting. This class will give you some of the history and the techniques needed to work lace and start you on your own project. |
